On January 28, the Baimajing "Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging" ultra-rapid charging station in Danzhou, Hainan, officially kicked off its operations. Boasting a total installed capacity of 8,000 kilowatts, this station now holds the title of the largest charging hub in Hainan Province specifically designed for new energy heavy-duty trucks.
This ultra-rapid charging station, a collaborative investment of 12 million yuan by Hainan Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid) and Hainan Susu Tong Supply Chain Co., Ltd., is equipped with 40 high-power charging terminals. It has the capability to simultaneously charge 20 heavy-duty trucks at full capacity (note that each truck requires two charging terminals), accommodating over 200 vehicles on a daily basis. This setup effectively caters to the swift energy replenishment demands of a diverse range of vehicles, encompassing new energy heavy-duty trucks as well as regular passenger cars.
The station utilizes an integrated "Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging" system, which seamlessly blends photovoltaic power generation, intelligent energy storage, and high-power ultra-rapid charging technologies. This innovative approach is projected to cut down carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 200,000 kilograms annually.
