From next month onwards, BMW is poised to make a complete transition to its seventh - generation logo. This move represents the brand's first significant logo overhaul since 1997. The new logo does away with the inner chrome ring as well as the blue - and - white segmented chrome strip. Instead of the traditional black outer ring, it features a matte satin finish. Additionally, a smoky effect is applied to the outer chrome, giving it a more modern and understated look. In a notable change, the logos for both fuel - powered and electric vehicle models will be standardized. There will no longer be a blue outer ring to specifically denote electric vehicles, creating a more unified branding approach across its vehicle lineup.
