On January 28, Omwe Group, a prominent German provider of automotive software and hardware solutions, unveiled its intention to reduce its global workforce by up to 4,000 employees. This move will impact manufacturing facilities located in India, Singapore, Romania, Serbia, Germany, and Mexico, with the layoff process projected to conclude by the year's end. The company has pledged to carry out these reductions in a manner that upholds social responsibility. The official announcement highlighted that, amidst prevailing market challenges, Omwe will also undertake further initiatives to bolster its global research and development (R&D) competitiveness.
