On January 28, the Automobile Dealers Chamber of Commerce, operating under the auspices of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, released a notification. It revealed that since late 2025, it has been receiving feedback from certain authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers. These dealers have highlighted the numerous challenges confronting their operations, such as soaring inventory levels, price discrepancies (where selling prices fall below purchase prices), protracted rebate processing times, intense pressure stemming from business evaluations, and the absence of a compensation framework for dealerships withdrawing from the network. Collectively, these factors have precipitated operational hurdles. The chamber expresses the hope that Mercedes-Benz's OEM will, with a view to preserving the brand's esteem and fostering the sustained, robust growth of the Chinese market, proactively engage with dealers' demands and swiftly refine pertinent business policies. The chamber remains committed to tracking the situation's evolution, sustaining dialogue with Mercedes-Benz's global and Chinese leadership teams, as well as with dealers, to pave the way for amicable issue resolution and bolster the thriving presence of the Mercedes-Benz brand in the Chinese market.
