Wei Jianjun, the Chairman of Great Wall Motors, has officially declared that WEY's new flagship SUV will be named the V9X. This model is positioned as an AI-driven luxury six-seater SUV, constructed on the inaugural high-end technology sequence, the 'Guiyuan S', which falls under the broader 'Guiyuan Platform'.
Recently, spy photos of the camouflaged V9X have surfaced online. The vehicle boasts a squared-off front end, complete with integrated headlights, a trapezoidal air intake, and an active grille shutter. The roof is fitted with LiDAR technology. The side profile of the SUV is characterized by a sleek, elongated silhouette, with an estimated length of 5.3 meters and a wheelbase spanning 3.1 meters. The D-pillar showcases a floating design, accentuated by chrome trim and concealed door handles. At the rear, the vehicle features a spoiler and mechanical wipers, with the taillights expected to exhibit a through-type design.
In terms of performance, the V9X is rumored to be equipped with the Super Hi4 architecture. This setup is projected to enable a 0-100 km/h acceleration time within the 4-second range, a WLTC pure electric range of 363 km, and a fuel consumption rate of 6.3 liters per 100 km when operating on battery reserve mode. Additionally, the official has mentioned that the Guiyuan Platform will incorporate dual VLA (Vehicle-Level Architecture) large models. These will provide advanced driving assistance and in-cabin VLA systems capable of delivering personalized services.
