California, a U.S. state that has long been at the forefront of electric vehicle (EV) adoption and functions as Tesla's key stronghold, witnessed a significant decline in Tesla's market share last year. According to the data, Tesla's proportion of new vehicle registrations in this state plummeted from 11.6% in 2024 to 9.9%. Additionally, the number of annual registrations also took a hit, dropping from close to 203,000 units to 179,656 units, marking an 11.4% year-on-year decrease.
