NIO's founder, Li Bin, unveiled the NIO Power ecosystem in northern Zhejiang and shared that the NIO ES8 has claimed the top spot in large SUV sales across five key cities, including Hangzhou, boasting a remarkable 77% market share. In December 2024, the combined sales of the brand-new ES8 and the Onvo L90 in Zhejiang Province soared to 3,484 units. Li Bin attributes the ES8's triumph in Zhejiang to its strategic foresight in infrastructure development. By March 2025, NIO had established 443 battery swap stations across the province, with cumulative investments in charging infrastructure, battery swap services, and overall R&D surpassing 18 billion yuan and 60 billion yuan, respectively. The all-new ES8 represents a significant technological leap, sharing core technologies with the ET9 model. It features a centralized, integrated electronic architecture and a tri-electric system with a full-domain 900V high-voltage setup, ensuring exceptional performance. Its interior space has been elevated from mid-to-large to large, positioning it as the largest pure electric SUV available in the Chinese market.
