On January 22, CATL rolled out its Tianxing II customizable series solutions in Guangzhou, tailored for a wide range of scenarios within the light commercial vehicle sector. This series encompasses four distinct types of power batteries: the super-fast charging variant, the long-range variant, the high-temperature super-fast charging variant, and the low-temperature variant. Notably, the low-temperature variant for light commercial vehicles incorporates the industry's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery. With a capacity of 45kWh, this battery is ideally suited for small and medium-sized vans, micro and small trucks, as well as other vehicle models. Even when the battery cells are frozen solid at -30℃, this battery can be directly plugged in for immediate charging. At -20℃, it maintains a battery capacity retention rate exceeding 92%, and retains 90% of its usable capacity at -40℃, effectively tackling the challenges of range and charging efficiency in low-temperature environments.
