On January 20th, Xiaomi Auto provided a detailed account of a fire that occurred at an auto repair shop in Haikou, Hainan Province, on the previous day, January 19th. According to the report, the vehicle in question was parked at 5:30 PM, after which the driver and front-seat passenger exited the car. At 5:34 PM, the front seats of the vehicle adjusted automatically. Just three minutes later, at 5:37 PM, a fire broke out inside the vehicle, despite the power battery displaying normal data readings. The local fire department swiftly responded and extinguished the blaze, with no reports of any injuries.

On the same day, another incident involving a Xiaomi YU7 vehicle occurred in Kaifeng, Henan Province. Following an accident, the car caught fire. However, both the power battery and the small auxiliary battery were found to be in normal working condition. The fire was quickly brought under control. Xiaomi Auto has stated that it is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigations into both incidents. The company is also assisting affected users in handling the aftermath and has urged the public to refrain from believing or spreading unverified information or rumors.
