Recently, BMW China unveiled a series of adjustments to the manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) for 31 of its prominent models. These changes will take effect from January 1, 2026, and generally involve price reductions exceeding 10%. Specifically, 24 models will witness price cuts of over 10%, while 5 models will see reductions surpassing 20%. Some models even enjoy a maximum direct price slash of 301,000 yuan. The flagship i7 M70L model will have its price lowered from 1.899 million yuan to 1.598 million yuan. Meanwhile, the entry - level iX1 eDrive25L model will drop in price from 299,900 yuan to 228,000 yuan, representing a 24% decrease. Moreover, models like the X1, 2 Series, and 7 Series have all undergone price reductions to varying extents. In response, BMW China clarified that this price adjustment is a proactive step in its product strategy. It aims to benefit consumers via a 'systematic value upgrade' and bolster the brand's competitiveness in the market, rather than getting involved in a price - war scenario.
