November's Global Auto Sales by Country: 14 Nations, Including China and Germany, Report Year-on-Year Growth

Based on the global auto sales data by country/region for November 2025, as released by the China Auto Data Research Institute, out of the 33 auto markets that have been tallied, 14 countries — including China, India, Germany, Russia, and Spain — witnessed year-on-year sales growth. In contrast, 19 markets, such as the United States, Japan, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Canada, saw a decline.

In November, China (Mainland) manufactured 3.532 million vehicles and sold 3.429 million, continuing its upward trajectory both month-on-month and year-on-year. From January to November, cumulative production and sales hit 31.231 million and 31.127 million vehicles, respectively, marking year-on-year increases of 11.9% and 11.4%.

In the United States, new vehicle sales in November reached 1.28 million units, a 6.3% decrease from the same period last year; however, cumulative sales for the year climbed to 14.807 million units, up 2.4% year-on-year.

India's auto retail sales in November soared by 18.7% year-on-year. Meanwhile, Japan experienced a 5.1% year-on-year drop in sales in November, with high-displacement vehicles seeing a sharper decline.

Germany reported a 2.5% year-on-year increase in new passenger car registrations in November, with notable growth in hybrid and pure electric vehicles.

Brazil's sales in November dipped by 5.2% year-on-year. The United Kingdom saw a 1.6% year-on-year decrease in passenger car sales in November, with pure electric vehicles making up 26.4% of the total.

South Korea's sales in November declined by 1.1% year-on-year, while Russia's sales in the same month rose by 5.0% year-on-year.

In Australia, new vehicle registrations in November decreased by 1.8% year-on-year. Conversely, South Africa's new vehicle sales in November surged by 12.5% year-on-year.
