On December 12, WeRide, in collaboration with Uber and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), officially launched a public Robotaxi operation service in Dubai through the Uber App, initially covering the Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah areas. Passengers can hail a Robotaxi through the 'Autonomous' category on the Uber App. The vehicles are currently equipped with safety officers, laying the groundwork for fully autonomous commercial operations by early 2026.
