The progression of vehicle intelligence is heavily reliant on electrical systems. Traditionally, intelligence in the automotive sector has been closely associated with electrification and new energy vehicles (NEVs). However, with the growing consumer appetite for intelligent driving features and the steady increase in NEVs' market share, traditional fuel-powered vehicles are now accelerating their integration of intelligent technologies to stay competitive.
Yet, several industry experts have weighed in, suggesting that the intelligence enhancement in fuel-powered vehicles is merely a stopgap measure. They argue that, in the long haul, the trend of electric vehicles (EVs) supplanting fuel-powered ones is likely irreversible. Looking ahead, the automotive industry is poised to witness a paradigm where "electrification sets the stage, and intelligence dictates the outcome." This shift will inevitably redefine the supply chain landscape. The prominence of traditional tier-one suppliers is expected to wane, while Chinese tech firms are projected to emerge as the linchpins of the supply chain ecosystem.
