On December 10, 2025, OPPO announced the signing of a global patent licensing agreement with Audi, granting Audi licenses for cellular communication standard essential patents, including 5G, to enhance the user experience of its global connected vehicle products. This marks OPPO's third bilateral patent licensing agreement with an automaker, following deals with Volkswagen and a domestic automaker. As of January 2025, OPPO ranks eighth globally in terms of comprehensive 5G patent strength, with over 117,000 global patent applications and over 65,000 patents granted.
