Jon McNeill, who previously served as Tesla's global sales chief and is now a board member of General Motors, disclosed a fascinating piece of information. He revealed that Tesla, at one point, disassembled electric vehicles produced by Chinese manufacturers in order to gain insights and experience. By doing so, Tesla adopted the practice of component reuse and incorporated it into the development of its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.

McNeill further elaborated that during General Motors' recent dismantling and analysis of vehicles, it was found that Chinese automakers have elevated the concept of component reuse to an entirely new level.

Moreover, the CEO of Rivian, an American electric vehicle company, revealed that they had once disassembled the SU7 model manufactured by the Chinese automaker Xiaomi. The CEO expressed admiration for Xiaomi's technological platform.

Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford, also shared his astonishment after dismantling and examining electric vehicles from both Tesla and Chinese automakers. This experience prompted him to initiate a comprehensive reform within Ford.
