The Legal Department of XPENG Motors has released a statement, clarifying that certain accounts have been maliciously disseminating false, vulgar, and pornographic videos—generated using AI technology—on social media and private channels. These videos, which are set against the backdrop of XPENG Motors' booth at the Guangzhou Auto Show, were employed as a publicity stunt to stir up negative topics and tarnish the brand's and its products' reputation. Such actions not only violate public order and morality but also infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of the company.
XPENG Motors has unequivocally stated that no models or performers were invited to participate in this auto show. The company firmly opposes such negative (or malicious) publicity tactics. It strongly condemns this illegal act and vows to resolutely hold those responsible accountable for their actions. Having fully secured the evidence, XPENG Motors has formally reported the incident to the police, and the public security organs have initiated an investigation into the matter.
