During the earnings call, Li Auto's President, Ma Donghui, emphasized that Li Auto has consistently prioritized in-house research and development of core technologies for its three essential electric systems—namely, the battery, motor, and electric control units. When it comes to battery sourcing, the company employs a dual-pronged approach, combining outsourcing with in-house R&D through joint ventures. Ma revealed that Li Auto is set to begin mass production of its self-developed 5C batteries next year.

Furthermore, Ma disclosed that the Li L series will undergo a significant redesign in 2026. This redesign represents a generational upgrade, with the aim of reclaiming Li Auto's leading position in the extended-range vehicle market. The model lineup will be streamlined, featuring fewer stock-keeping units (SKUs) to simplify consumer choice. Despite the streamlining, the designs will maintain a cohesive family aesthetic while elevating the sense of luxury. All redesigned models will come equipped with 5C ultra-fast charging technology as a standard feature, further solidifying Li Auto's reputation as a frontrunner in the extended-range vehicle sector.
