On November 26 (local time), Ariel Montenegro, who serves as the president of Renault Geely do Brasil—the joint venture between Renault and Geely—announced during the São Paulo Auto Show that the company has set its sights on doubling its production volume in Brazil. At present, the factory situated in Paraná boasts an annual production capacity of 380,000 vehicles, yet its actual output stands at 180,000 vehicles. The company intends to realize this production doubling by enhancing capacity utilization. Moreover, both Renault and Geely have jointly planned an investment of 3.8 billion reais (roughly equivalent to RMB 5.1 billion). This investment will be used to introduce Geely's GEA new - energy architecture and electric vehicle models. Localized production of these models is scheduled to kick off in the second half of 2026. Furthermore, the two parties have made a commitment to roll out 4 to 5 new models within the period from 2026 to 2028.
