Recently, a question was raised by a netizen regarding why Li Auto doesn't provide a lifetime warranty, opting instead for an 8-year/160,000-kilometer warranty plan. Tang Jing, the leader of Li Auto's product line, expressed his personal disapproval of lifetime warranties, despite the fact that the Li ONE model had previously offered such a warranty. He clarified that all promises of unlimited coverage hinge on the assumption that the company will endure indefinitely, a guarantee that no enterprise can realistically make. At present, Li Auto's in-market models come with a 5-year/100,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, an 8-year/160,000-kilometer warranty specifically for the three-electric systems (comprising the battery, motor, and electric control), along with round-the-clock, 7x24-hour complimentary roadside assistance throughout the warranty duration.
