On November 24, news surfaced that Changan Automobile had taken over Beijing Hyundai's Chongqing plant, which is slated to become a production hub for Deepal. A representative from Deepal confirmed the existence of this plan. However, details regarding the start time of production and the specific models to be manufactured remain undisclosed.

The Chongqing plant represents a significant investment, totaling 7.75 billion yuan, and boasts a designed annual vehicle production capacity of 300,000 units. Despite being put up for sale multiple times in the past, it eventually found a buyer at a price of 1.62 billion yuan.

At present, Deepal's production operations are primarily concentrated in its Nanjing and Beijing plants. Meanwhile, the development of its second-generation products is proceeding in an orderly fashion. The company has set an ambitious goal to introduce a cumulative total of 30 products by the year 2030.
