A resident of Haikou, Hainan, visited a Xiaopeng 4S dealership for a test drive. Upon returning to the showroom, his foot became trapped in an automatic sensor-operated glass door, causing the door to derail and shatter. The salesperson involved repeatedly contacted the man, demanding both compensation and an apology in a confrontational manner. Feeling wronged, the man took to social media to share his ordeal, which quickly garnered widespread attention. In response, Xiaopeng Motors’ official customer service issued a statement, acknowledging the subpar customer experience and admitting that the employee had made significant errors, including using inappropriate language. The company has meted out the maximum disciplinary action to the employee, reprimanded the store manager, and pledged to enhance service training and oversight for sales personnel across all its dealerships nationwide.
