On November 21, Wang Hua, a member of Xiaomi Group's Public Relations Department, took to social media to announce his formal relocation to Xiaomi's Wuhan headquarters. Addressing the swirling rumors surrounding his career move for the first time, he clarified that the transfer was merely a routine rotation, devoid of any ulterior motives, and urged against over-interpretation. Wang Hua disclosed that, in line with Xiaomi's rotation policy, middle managers are expected to rotate every three years, with a mandatory rotation every five years. The timing of his current transfer had been predetermined five years prior, and the position in Wuhan was his own decision. His choice of Wuhan was influenced partly by its proximity to Chengdu, which would reduce transportation and time expenses, and partly by Xiaomi's strategic expansion in Wuhan. This includes the launch of a major appliance factory, the completion of a technology park, and the ambitious plan to employ "10,000 researchers and 10,000 manufacturers". Since assuming charge of Xiaomi's public relations operations in 2020, Wang Hua has played a pivotal role in key initiatives such as the expansion of new retail channels and Xiaomi's foray into the automotive manufacturing sector.
