At the grand opening of the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, amidst Xiaomi's highly anticipated car launch event, Vice President Li Xiaoshuang took the stage to address external skepticism. He acknowledged that while Xiaomi's foray into assisted driving may have come later than some of its competitors, the company remains brimming with confidence in this domain.

Li Xiaoshuang emphasized that the core of assisted driving technology lies in artificial intelligence (AI). Looking ahead to 2025, Xiaomi is set to invest a staggering sum exceeding 7 billion yuan in AI research and development. Presently, Xiaomi's intelligent driving team has grown to over 1,800 members, a formidable force that includes 108 PhDs. Furthermore, the company has strategically established three major R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan, solidifying its commitment to advancing intelligent driving technologies.
