The "Government Procurement Requirement Standards for New Energy Vehicles (Draft for Public Comment)," co-drafted by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is now open for public feedback. These standards are specifically tailored for government procurement projects involving new energy vehicles, encompassing pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (including extended-range models), and fuel cell (hydrogen energy) vehicles. When conducting procurement, entities are prohibited from setting unreasonable differential conditions or discriminating against suppliers. The Treasury Department under the Ministry of Finance will ensure that the standard indicators are updated in a timely fashion. Additionally, competent budgetary units are mandated to determine the annual proportion of new energy vehicles to be procured by their respective departments in accordance with these regulations.
