On November 19, Peng Baolin, the Vice President of Sales for GAC Toyota, took to a social media platform to refute rumors. He clarified that the news circulating about "GAC Toyota discontinuing multiple best-selling fuel-powered cars" is entirely unfounded. Earlier, market speculation had suggested that GAC Toyota would cease production of at least two of its main fuel-powered models by 2026. These included a compact sedan with monthly sales surpassing a thousand units and a mid-size SUV with monthly sales exceeding ten thousand units. Peng Baolin emphasized that GAC Toyota remains committed to its strategy of maintaining "equal strength in both fuel-powered and electric vehicles." The company will continue to enhance and upgrade its fuel-powered vehicle lineup while simultaneously advancing its transition towards electrification. On November 20, the latest generation of the fuel-powered SUV, Wildlander, made its debut. Additionally, on November 21, GAC Toyota is set to unveil its all-electric sedan, the bZ3, at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
