Tesla has officially rolled out its Robotaxi service in Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area, though currently, only iPhone users can take advantage of it by downloading the dedicated App. After several months of testing—initially restricted to a select group of invited users—the service has now expanded its availability. In addition to complying with regulatory standards, Tesla has instituted internal safety protocols, including the deployment of "safety supervisors." However, Musk has announced plans to phase out these supervisors entirely by the end of the year.

Several users have confirmed that they can book rides directly through the App in areas where the service is operational. This full-scale launch is widely regarded as a demonstration of Tesla's confidence in its technology, with expectations that safety supervisors will be gradually phased out over the coming weeks. If Tesla achieves fully autonomous operation by the end of the year, it will mark a remarkable milestone: just six months from the service's public debut to carrying passengers without any human supervision.
