The National Energy Administration has unveiled data regarding electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities nationwide for October 2025. By the end of October, the total number of EV charging infrastructures (guns) in China had surged to 18.645 million, marking a remarkable 54% year-on-year increase. Breaking down the figures, there were 4.533 million public charging facilities (guns), which saw a 39.5% year-on-year rise. These public facilities boasted a combined rated power of 203 million kilowatts, with an average power output of approximately 44.69 kilowatts. On the private front, there were 14.112 million private charging facilities (guns), up by a significant 59.4% from the previous year, and their installed electricity capacity reached 124 million kilovolt-amperes.
