On November 18, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that Honda will initiate a recall of 256,603 Accord Hybrid models in the United States. The recall stems from a software issue wherein certain programs within the vehicle's internal software system may unexpectedly restart while the vehicle is in motion, potentially resulting in a loss of vehicle control.
