At precisely 7 p.m. on November 20, XPENG Motors made an official announcement regarding the launch of its XPENG X9 Super Range-Extended Variant. Prior to this, on November 6, the vehicle had already been made available for pre-sale, featuring two distinct trims: the Max and Ultra. The pre-sale prices were set at RMB 350,000 and RMB 370,000, respectively. The XPENG X9 is marketed as a spacious seven-seater MPV, boasting impressive dimensions: a length of 5,316mm, a width of 1,988mm, and a height of 1,785mm. It comes with a wheelbase of 3,160mm and has a curb weight of 2,750 kilograms.
In terms of aesthetics, the XPENG X9 exudes a modern and angular design, complemented by an active grille shutter. It incorporates advanced front and rear integrated die-casting technology, enhancing its structural integrity. Inside the cabin, the XPENG X9 is equipped with a large 17.3-inch central control screen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel. These features are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip, ensuring seamless performance. Additionally, customers have the option to choose from three interior color schemes.
Regarding its powertrain, the XPENG X9 employs a range-extender system that consists of a 1.5T range extender paired with an electric motor. Under CLTC conditions, it achieves a pure electric driving range of 452 kilometers and a combined range of up to 1,602 kilometers. Moreover, it boasts a fuel consumption rate of 6.4L/100km. The vehicle supports 5C ultra-fast charging, enabling it to recharge from 10% to 80% in just 11.7 minutes. Additionally, it features a 6kW V2V/V2L external discharge capability, enhancing its versatility.
