Li Auto has released an announcement detailing the disciplinary actions taken in response to two quality-related incidents. The first incident pertains to the coolant leakage issue discovered in the 2024 MEGA vehicle models. After a thorough investigation, three primary causes were identified. Consequently, accountability measures were implemented for the employees involved in the relevant production processes. This included 5 individuals under the supervision of Li, 4 under Shang, and another 5 under Zhou. For the directly involved employees, their employment contracts were terminated. Meanwhile, their direct supervisors and department heads faced severe consequences, including annual performance evaluations capped at the lowest rating (Level I), forfeiture of year-end bonuses, and disqualification from any promotions. The second incident involved abnormal noise emanating from the lower arm bushings in the 2025 L-series vehicles, which was traced back to inadequate grease testing and validation procedures. Four employees, including Cui, who were involved in the relevant processes, were held accountable and subjected to the same disciplinary actions as those in the first incident.
