Mr. Hu, who owns a Mercedes-Benz EQC in Hangzhou, reported that the battery endurance of his EQC electric vehicle, which he bought five years ago, has diminished to less than half of its original capacity. After a full charge, the vehicle can now only travel around 210 kilometers, a stark contrast to its initial 450-kilometer range. According to Mr. Hu, during the purchase, the salesperson assured him that a free battery replacement would be provided if the battery's capacity fell below 70%. However, when Mr. Hu approached the 4S dealership with this issue, they declined to replace the battery and instead only offered repair services.
