Dongfeng Motor has officially announced the establishment and commissioning of a 0.2GWh pilot production line dedicated to solid-state batteries. These cutting-edge batteries, boasting an impressive energy density of 350Wh/kg, are slated to commence mass production and be integrated into complete vehicles in September 2026. This advancement will significantly contribute to achieving an extraordinary driving range exceeding 1000 kilometers. Furthermore, Dongfeng Motor is also committed to developing a fast-charging 350Wh/kg all-solid-state battery, with tentative plans for pilot loading and utilization in December 2027. In parallel, the company will embark on preliminary research into sulfide all-solid-state batteries, which promise an even higher energy density of up to 500Wh/kg.
