On November 13, Faraday Future (FF) made an official announcement stating that FF and FX have forged a collaboration agreement with Tesla concerning charging standards. This pact grants their vehicle models unrestricted access to Tesla's Supercharger Network. Current vehicle owners will be able to utilize Tesla Supercharger stations across North America, facilitated by adapters. Beginning in 2026, newly manufactured models will come pre-installed with Tesla's standard charging ports.
Owners of FF's inaugural mass-produced model, the FF 91 Futurist, along with its succeeding models, and FX's all-electric vehicles, will gain the ability to tap into over 28,000 Tesla Superchargers that are compatible with the North American Charging Standard (NACS). The Global Co-CEO of FF remarked that this partnership is set to bolster user confidence and extend travel ranges for drivers.
Prior to this, a number of prominent automakers had already declared their adoption of Tesla's charging standards. The addition of FF and FX to this list will further cement the supremacy of the NACS standard within the North American charging sector and foster the standardization of charging interfaces.
