China's intelligent connected vehicle sector has now stepped into a fresh competitive phase, with computing power at its core. Between January and July of this year, the market adoption rate for new vehicles equipped with Level 2 autonomous driving features soared to 63%. Nevertheless, the industry grapples with hurdles including escalating safety concerns, a still-developing standardized framework, and a lack of adequate investment in fundamental technologies. To tackle these challenges, it is imperative to expedite advancements in pivotal technologies, refine industry benchmarks and policy alignment, and foster the industry's secure and structured growth by setting up collaborative research and development frameworks along with open testing environments.
