The Shanghai New Energy Vehicle Fire Risk Monitoring and Response Platform was officially launched recently. Jointly developed by the Shanghai Fire Rescue Bureau and the Shanghai New Energy Vehicle Public Data Collection and Monitoring Research Center, it is the nation's first local-level safety monitoring platform for new energy vehicles. The platform enables comprehensive monitoring of the operational safety of new energy vehicles throughout the entire supply chain. It features three key functions: fire early warning and prevention, identification and response to vehicles experiencing thermal runaway, and reporting of fire incidents along with data retrieval. A prevention and control system integrating 'electronic fencing for comprehensive sensing and vehicle-end data response in seconds' has been established. Currently, the platform has monitored over 1.8 million vehicles, identified and notified over a hundred high-risk vehicles, and issued real-time alerts for more than ten vehicles.
