Data sourced from the General Administration of Customs and compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) reveals that in September 2025, China imported 41,000 complete vehicles. This figure represents an 8.7% decrease compared to the previous month and a significant 25.6% drop year-on-year. In terms of value, the import amount reached US$2.04 billion, showing a 3.3% decline month-on-month and a substantial 36.4% decrease year-on-year. For the period from January to September 2025, the cumulative number of imported complete vehicles stood at 360,000 units, reflecting a 32.4% decline compared to the same period in the previous year. The cumulative import value over these nine months amounted to US$18.25 billion, down by 40.1% year-on-year.
