On November 5, during the 2025 XPENG Tech Day event, He Xiaopeng, the founder of XPENG, made a significant announcement. He revealed that the company is slated to introduce three Robotaxi models in 2026. These models are specifically engineered for L4 autonomous driving. To enhance driving safety, they are outfitted with two distinct hardware systems that function as mutual backups. This design allows for swift switching between systems in the event of a failure in one, thereby ensuring uninterrupted and safe driving. Additionally, AutoNavi has been selected as XPENG Robotaxi's inaugural global ecological partner.
