Electric vehicle sales for Ford, Kia, and Hyundai have taken a significant hit, as numerous American car buyers rushed to make purchases before the Trump administration brought an end to the tax credit policy for new energy vehicles. According to the October sales data released by several automakers, there has been a noticeable downturn in EV sales subsequent to the expiration of federal incentives. Specifically, Ford's electric vehicle sales in the U.S. market witnessed a 25% year-on-year decrease in October, while Kia and Hyundai experienced a more drastic decline, with their U.S. EV sales plummeting between 52% and 71% on a year-on-year basis.
