A launch ceremony marking the implementation of autonomous driving scenarios for the 15th National Games, along with the National Paralympic and Special Olympics Games, took place at the Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center. At this event, Didi Autonomous Driving received the official "Autonomous Driving Service Provider" plaque, authorizing it to deliver autonomous driving services across Guangzhou during the 15th National Games. Throughout the event, more than 300 autonomous vehicles will be deployed to offer services including shuttle buses. Specifically, Didi Autonomous Driving will operate shuttle services around major venues like Guangzhou sports stadiums and media centers, with routes extending along several key thoroughfares. The service will be available from November 3 to December 15. The vehicles are outfitted with a self-developed system that incorporates multi-layer safety redundancy measures. During the test ride phase, Didi Autonomous Driving's vehicles demonstrated excellent performance in navigating complex traffic conditions. The Vice President of Didi Autonomous Driving expressed their commitment to providing transportation support for the event and contributing to Guangzhou's vision of becoming a "Smart Vehicle City." Moreover, Didi Autonomous Driving has significantly strengthened its core technological capabilities this year, having already initiated public testing of fully driverless autonomous driving services in select areas of Guangzhou.
