Responding to the buzz surrounding the potential renovation of the former SAIC-GM Shenyang Beisheng Plant (Phase III), Geely Auto has clarified that the soaring sales figures of the Geely Galaxy series have significantly heightened the need for increased production capacity. At present, the company is fervently engaged in researching and evaluating a multitude of plans aimed at boosting production capabilities. Geely Auto is striving to make the most of the existing idle capacity across various sites, with a view to circumventing the necessity of constructing entirely new automotive production facilities or enlarging the scale of current ones.

Market insiders have hinted that renovations at the plant are indeed underway, with the primary objective of bolstering the production capacity of the Geely Galaxy lineup. An individual with close ties to Geely Auto divulged that both parties have been engaged in extensive discussions for quite some time, and emphasized that, currently, the production capacity for the Galaxy series is stretched to its limits.
