A source with insider knowledge of Geely disclosed that currently, the production capacity for the Galaxy series is under significant strain. Another well - informed individual let slip that Geely had entered into negotiations to lease a Shenyang plant owned by a joint - venture automaker for its production needs. However, this deal ultimately fell through. The North Sheng Plant was, at one point, one of SAIC - GM's four key production hubs in China. It boasted an impressive annual production capacity that surpassed 300,000 vehicles.
