The torch relay for the 15th National Games commenced simultaneously across four locations: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao. Specifically, an Aion Tyrannosaurus rex (Bawanglong) Robotaxi, outfitted with Pony.ai's state-of-the-art seventh-generation autonomous driving system, took on the responsibility of accompanying the torch lantern at Yuexiu Park and safely transporting it to the designated relay point at the Guangzhou Gymnasium. This milestone marked the inaugural involvement of an autonomous vehicle in the torch relay of the National Games, heralding a new era of technological integration in this prestigious sporting event.
