On October 31, Li Auto released an official apology concerning the fire incident involving its MEGA 2024 model vehicles. The company stated that it had swiftly reached out to all affected vehicle owners and was fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The root cause was identified as inadequate anti-corrosion properties in the coolant, which could potentially trigger thermal runaway in the power battery. As a proactive measure, Li Auto has voluntarily recalled 11,411 vehicles from the same batch. The company will replace the relevant components free of charge to ensure the complete elimination of any potential safety hazards.
