On October 31, as per the information from the State Administration for Market Regulation, Beijing Li Auto Co., Ltd. has taken the proactive step of submitting a recall plan, adhering to the stipulations outlined in the 'Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automotive Products.' Beginning on November 7, 2025, the company will initiate a recall of 11,411 Li Auto MEGA vehicles from the 2024 model line. These vehicles were manufactured between February 18 and December 27, 2024. The root cause of the recall lies in the inadequate anti-corrosion properties of the coolant used in this particular batch of vehicles. Under specific environmental conditions, this deficiency can lead to the corrosion and subsequent leakage of the cooling aluminum plate. In extreme scenarios, such a situation could potentially trigger a thermal runaway event in the power battery, thereby posing a significant safety risk. To address this issue, Li Auto will offer a comprehensive solution by providing free replacement services for the coolant, power battery, and front motor controller of all the recalled vehicles.
