The vehicle rapidly became engulfed in flames, with the fire consuming it entirely within just 10 seconds, ultimately reducing it to a mere shell. Li Auto quickly issued a statement, clarifying that at the time of the incident, the vehicle's doors opened successfully, allowing both the driver and passengers to exit the vehicle safely. The company has promptly dispatched specialized personnel to the scene to manage the situation, and the fire department has also initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire. Li Auto has pledged to actively cooperate with the investigation and will carry out follow-up actions based on the investigation's findings. As Li Auto's inaugural pure electric model, the Ideal MEGA was officially launched on March 1, 2024, with a starting price of 559,800 yuan. The models currently available are the 2025 Ultra Intelligent Driving Renewed Edition and the 2025 Home Special Edition, priced between 529,800 and 559,800 yuan. Both variants are equipped with Kirin batteries, which were co-developed by CATL and Li Auto. These batteries utilize ternary lithium materials, with the battery cells being manufactured by CATL.
