Multiple automotive industry bloggers have reported that Zhao Changjiang, who previously served as the General Manager of the Direct Sales Business Division at BYD's Denza Formula Leopard, is set to vacate his position. Zhao Changjiang himself has verified this development, mentioning that he intends to take a temporary break. An internal BYD memo, which has been circulating online, suggests that Zhao Changjiang's resignation was motivated by personal reasons, with all necessary procedures finalized and his responsibilities duly handed over. As of the issuance of this press statement, BYD has refrained from making an official comment. Speculations are rife that Zhao Changjiang might join the Luxeed brand, a joint venture between Huawei Consumer Business Group and Chery, following his departure. However, neither Huawei Consumer Business Group nor Chery has issued any statement regarding this matter.
Public records indicate that Zhao Changjiang commenced his tenure at BYD in 2009 and has held the position of General Manager of the Denza Brand Business Division since 2021. This July, he was promoted to the role of General Manager of the Direct Sales Business Division at Denza Formula Leopard Automotive.
