During Thursday's earnings conference call, Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford Motor, highlighted that, in the immediate future, the proportion of electric vehicles (EVs) within the U.S. automotive market is anticipated to be a mere 5% or so. Nevertheless, Farley is of the opinion that this share will experience an upward trajectory, particularly for electric vehicles that are reasonably priced. Ford has already taken proactive measures to adapt to this evolving landscape. The company has developed a shared electric vehicle platform. This platform is designed to underpin the creation of digitally sophisticated, roomy, and highly attractive products, with starting prices hovering around the $30,000 mark.
