Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit (BU) has made an important announcement. As of October 11, 2025, the Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS system has successfully averted more than 3 million potential collisions. This achievement underscores the system's remarkable effectiveness in enhancing road safety. In addition, the Qiankun Intelligent Driving CAS 4.0 has rolled out a groundbreaking new feature: driver incapacitation assistance. When the Driver Monitoring System (DMS) detects signs of driver incapacitation and observes that the vehicle is beginning to drift out of its lane, CAS 4.0 promptly springs into action. It initiates lateral correction to keep the vehicle on course and simultaneously displays a visual alert to notify the driver. Should the driver fail to respond to this initial warning, the system will escalate its alert measures. Once it's confirmed that the driver is completely incapacitated, the driver incapacitation assistance feature takes full control of the vehicle. It activates the hazard lights to warn other road users, plays an alert sound to draw attention, tightens the seatbelt for added safety, and safely maneuvers the vehicle to the side of the road, minimizing the risk of further incidents.
