On Tuesday, the Mercedes-Benz Group unveiled its sales figures for the third quarter, revealing that it sold 441,500 passenger cars. However, this marked a 12.3% decline compared to the same period last year. A netizen shared on the X platform that, for the first time, Tesla's third-quarter passenger car sales surpassed those of the Mercedes-Benz Group. Tesla sold 497,099 units, outpacing Mercedes-Benz by 55,599 units and showing a 12.6% increase from the previous year. In comparison, during the same timeframe, Tesla's sales rose by 7.4% year-on-year, whereas Mercedes-Benz experienced a 12.3% drop. The netizen also pointed out that Mercedes-Benz rolled out its first car in 1901, while Tesla was established in 2004. Following this, Tesla CEO Elon Musk reposted the netizen's message.
