This year, on National Day (October 1st), data from the national charging infrastructure monitoring and service platform, which covers 48,400 expressway charging facilities (including charging guns), revealed that the electricity consumed for charging new energy vehicles soared to 17.4858 million kilowatt-hours on that single day. This figure represents a remarkable year-on-year increase of 41.95%, setting a new historical benchmark while maintaining overall stable operation. In anticipation of and response to the peak travel period for new energy vehicles during the holiday, the National Energy Administration proactively implemented strategic measures. These included accelerating the construction of charging infrastructure, enhancing monitoring and scheduling systems, and optimizing charging efficiency to adequately meet the public's growing demand for vehicle energy replenishment. Looking ahead, the National Energy Administration will continue to collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to further safeguard and fulfill the charging needs of new energy vehicle travelers during future holidays.
